Session 7: CAPES in IT: Making of a Super Student Hardware Repair Technician

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

With technology changing so rapidly, our methods for training new student workers on proper hardware repair methodology and protocol is becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with. Because of the inability to properly train our students on hardware repairs, workflow efficiency is continuing to decline. After multiple discussions and feedback from student workers, we have started to implement the CAPES (Collect Assess Process Exercise Success) Method. This is a method that has been developed for training the individual based on their current skill set. This session will briefly discuss our prior methods for training and present the new CAPES Method. Ultimate goal is for each student to earn their superhero CAPE enabling them to fly on their own. With attendee participation, we hope to strengthen the CAPES method and hope to share a new training methodology for others.
